We were in no way, shape or form harshly done by in that France game. Warburton picked up a player and dumped him on his neck. Dangerous play...red card.

That was not the case in previous years and it was not a bad example as others that were not sent off and as regards the ref, two things are important in sport to be fair and to be seen to be fair, Monsieur Alain Rolland does not pass that test in some quarters as being seen to be fair because of his French connections, he should never have been appointed to that game.

So in 1933 we drew away to France, who a year later were knocked out in the first round of the world cup.

Our closest to world domination was, perhaps, 1958. Brazil beating us 1-0 in the quarter final, with us missing John Charles (a decent shout for the World’s no.1 at the time) due to him being physically assaulted in the previous game, then going on to shove 5 on France in the semi & 5 on Sweden in the final. With the games taking place in such a short time scale, on form you’d have thought we’d have taken care of both France and Sweden considering their showings against Brazil compared to ours.

The final four in this year's World Cup were the four best sides of 2019. I would say that until the World Cup Wales were the third best and then it became all about peaking for the latter stages, which we tend to struggle with due to a smaller pool of players. It's been a fantastic 24 months of rugby on the international stage for Wales and hopefully it continues.

That is going back in time from 1967 to 1966, Wales were good at the time of the 1934 WC, big difference.
Mind you im sure if many teams that had not won a WC had hosted and committed el robo del siglo like England was said to have done then they too would have won a WC, the alleged English-German refs conspiracy to get rid of the South Americans, the last minute semi final fixture change to give Portugal an away game from their base and England a home base game and make Portugal travel down on the milk float taking hours just before the game and not being allowed to train on the pitch, no sleep etc etc, then of course the ghost goal in the final - yes a lot of teams if they had conducted what was said by some to be the most corrupt WC ever could have won it.

Cliff Jones put in loads of crosses in that Brazil game, John Charles would have had a field day, some unheard of [at the time] 17 year old kid gets the winner for Brazil, its sickening how unlucky Wales are with injuries/suspensions in major matches, in Euro 2016 we was without Ramsey and Davies possibly our 2nd and 3rd best players at the time, we had a good team in 76 and we was robbed in the Quarter Finals and as a result of the riot we had to play games in qualifying for the next WC in a foreign country and then got robbed after dominating the deciding match by a blatant handball.

You just cant make it up.
