Thread: New ideas for Wednesday

    New ideas for Wednesday

    I predict this team

Smithies (Not done much wrong (if anything) so far despite the goals conceded AND HE SAVED A PENALTY FFS that is rare in the championship for us.) He also stopped us shipping 4 at Wigan near the end!

    Peltier
    Morrison
    Flint
    Richards

    Paterson
    Tomlin
    Bennett

    Vassell
    Glatzel
    Bogle

    Subs Who knows

Anyone want to try to get more of the intended starting 11 right.

That's a hammering waiting to happen. 3 strikers? Warnock? We'll be lucky if he plays 1 up, with 3 strikers on the bench as we have no midfield.

For me: Smithies, Peltier, Bennett, Morrison, Flint, Ralls, ?, ?, Murphy, Whyte or Holiett, Gratzel. Sorry I can't come to terms with the name of the midfielder we signed from Reading!!

Gratzel deserves another go but we need to actually give some opportunities, the result of a non existent midfield. I'd prefer Bogle though, which shows how much we have gone backwards.

It is still one striker, Bogle And Vassell as wingers who track back. I wish Warnock would scrap the wingers and allow the fullbacks to get forward.

Peltier gets a nosebleed if he gets past the half way line.

I got an idea, why don’t someone try shooting when we get close to goal, instead of this “pass to you, pass back to me shit” !!!

Oh, and get crosses in first time, instead of trying to beat the fullback 8 times

If he didn't, Warnock would give him one anyway.

    So well said.
I could have written that word for word.
I hope Neil can SEE this too.

Just shows how poor we have become.
    Both full backs a liability.
Central pairing a disaster so far.
    Full backup into midfield.
Paterson still in there although no one really knows how/where he can make a difference.
Will Pack still be injured ?

Our summer recruitment has been a collection of poor, low ability players.

And a good idea would be crosses that land in the box instead of floating over everyone's heads.

Hoilett should be nowhere near the starting 11 !!!

Used as an “impact” player only, in the last 20/25 minutes

    Re: New ideas for Wednesday

We need to start playing 4-4-2. Glatzel is on hiding to nothing left on his own. I could see playing one striker if we created tons of chances and we had a midfield full of goals. But we don't.

I wanted him in the team so I found room for my chosen starting 11

If I get 9 right I will likely be a winner.

You are of course right. I was there but he was at the far end so I have slipped up.
Day made what looked like a fabulous save late on but I have not seen it again

I thought Richards was injured? Do we know if Flint is fit?

    Re: New ideas for Wednesday

    4411/442 to give Glatzel support.
Poor ****er must feel like a right loner.

Try a bit of pace up there with Glatzel, maybe Vassell behind or up top with him.

Can still fit in his wingers but use them as L/RM so we’d probably be better off with working wide men in that case..hoilett and Whyte then.

Pack and Vaulks in the middle.

I’d seriously try Coxe at RB at this point as we don’t have **** all to lose, better to lose ground trying something that could possibly work out, than failing doing the same thing over and over.

QPR mate who lives down here said Sunday “that Bennett is slower than me” and he’s 5 foot odd and nearly 60.

    Smithies
    Peltier
    Flint
    Morrison
    Bennett

    Murphy
    Pack
    Ralls
    Nml

    Vassell
    Gratzel

4411 Vassell to drop into midfield when needed. Paterson could do the job but I'd quite like to see that team and get some support for the no. 9.

Not read if pack or peltier are still injured, if pack is then probably wouldn't work.

    Re: New ideas for Wednesday

We are slow across the whole back line and it’s going to cost us point after point.
