This week may be the culmination of the Siege of Westminster
A defeated force has barricaded itself in at PW for three years , refusing to accept the outcome and trying every last desperate tactic to hang on to power against the will of the people.
Like all sieges it must eventually come to an end, either in a bloody finale or by the besieged faction walking away quietly.

Who knows the outcome ? I really don't think anyone can be certain, but there must now be a battle and an outcome achieved. Napoleon said that the General who merely waits behind his defences , however strong, is already defeated, and this has generally proven true, so we may take something from that.

It will be a great thing if this horrible situation can finally be resolved over the next week, but we cannot be certain.

The difference is that one side can win a final victory, whilst the other can only hope to prolong the stalemate for a bit longer.
Either way, we must move forward at this stage to force a resolution of the siege if not the war.

It's at least 50/50 that the bitter clingers to the EU can be finally overcome this week, and that's a chance which must be taken at this stage, otherwise they'll block all other human activity in the country and sap the substance from the people with their perpetual negative blocking of the vote which was decided three years ago.

If they can rally to halt progress one last time, then at least it's shifted on to the open field and they won't be able to hide any longer behind parliamentary rules which were never intended to frustrate the will of the people or harm the country.
