Good luck to him. He did a decent job here, if uninspiring, and we came 8th in his only full season. And that was with a load of signings like Watt, Revell, AMeoni and others.
Fair point but only Connolly (remember him?), Mason (for half a season), Whittingham, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Marshall, the rest were new or OGS' cast offs.
For the second half of the season the team was mainly, Marshall, Pelter, Malone, O'Keefe, Manga, Connolly, Noone, Immers, Pilkington, Ralls, Whittingham.
Give the man some credit, not long before he'll be installed in our Hall of Fame!! (if we have one)
Inching his way closer to Cardiff. Worrying.
Kevin Lloyd
Ian Rogerson
How the **** does he still get jobs? There's got to be a someone younger and smarter with more dynamism and ideas out there.
Tommy O'Sullivan
Too nice for us Cardiff fans as was Trollope.
We like a good bastard like Warnock and Mackay.
John Charles had a very successful spell as Hereford player-manager from 1967-71.
The football we played was uninspiring and he wasn’t exactly one “you’d want to run though walls for” but he was doing a job against the background of the rebrand fiasco, picking up from Ole’s totally unbalanced squad and trying to cut the wage bill practically in half. He served a purpose and we didn’t do a Wolves.
Good luck to him he seemed a decent sort.
