He could have had another goal, and an assist. I hope he stays fit for next week!

Good to see United giving him game time, and him taking the opportunity. Should be a lock to start every Welsh game for the next 10 years the way he's progressing. Shame the same can't, and I suspect might not be said for Ampadu. 0 minutes for Leipzig so far this season!

Leipzig have won 4 out of 4 games. Ampadu will have to wait for his chance. It won't be easy though, as RBL are a top side, and play very good football. However, a year in Germany should be a good experience for the young fella once he starts getting some gametime. He should come back a better player.

He won't come back a better player if he's sat on the bench for the vast majority of the season. Leipzig are far better than his current ability, they aren't really that much worse than Chelsea... a championship club would've been a much better option. Not us however, probably the worst club in world football for a young player to go too.

Leipzig have got a lot of young players, and everybody gets a fair chance. Ampadu has a high ceiling, so it's up to him to accept the challenge, and force his was into the team. If he doesn't make an impression at RBL, he may have a problem breaking into the Chelsea team. So it's a bit of a risk, but the rewards are huge, and both clubs must see something in the player to sanction such a high-level loan deal.
