Defensive:

This season we have conceded 4.5 fouls per game more than we did in the Premier League yet have managed 7 interceptions less per game. Only Wednesday, Barnsley and Hull have conceded more fouls than us, whereas only 6 sides conceded more fouls than us last season. On the opposite side of the coin, only Forest have had less fouls committed against them than us, unlike last season where we were the 7th most fouled team in the Premier League. More tackles are made in the Championship than the Premier League, yet the amount of tackles we make per game has gone down this season.

We are the worst team for not blocking crosses into our box in the Championship. Last season we were one of the best sides in the PL for blocking and intercepting passes. This season we are 14th in blocking passes.

Attacking:

Wales Online recently highlighted that we have managed a decent number of shots on goal per game this season, where only 3 sides have more shots on goal than us. We top the table of number of shots from outside the box yet are bottom of the table for shots in the 6 yard box, where we've had only 2 shots inside the opposition 6 yard box this season, which is 2.2% of all of our shots. Last season, 10% of our shots came inside the opposition 6 yard box so we were clearly creating better chances last season. However, we have a similar number of shots on target from last season.

This season, we've competed in more aerial battles than any other Championship team. We've competed in 4 more aerial battles per game this season than last. We've attempted fewer dribbles this team. For a side that prefers the long ball, we're the second worst team in terms of long ball accuracy this season, though the number of long balls we've hit this season has gone down 0.5%.
