Spending a night in a cell deemed enough.

I wonder if those of us who couldn't afford as good lawyers would get away with refusing a breath test at the road side and at the station while stinking of booze and being unsteady on our feet?

His “unsatisfactory behaviour” continued, the judge said, and he had taken the “entirely wrong approach” at the magistrates’ court in telling probation officers that he could not do work in the community because of his job as a TV pundit travelling the country watching football matches.

Exactly. It's totally wrong. Just proves it's who you are / who you know.

At least he's banned from driving and has to do community work. The cheek of the man to suggest initially he can't do community work because he's a TV pundit and has to travel to watch football games. Different world.

“He feels he had become a laughing stock”. I’ve got news for you Dean. You always have been.

Oh the irony..... after him trying to make himself look funny by telling a story about Brian Clough being a drunk.

He’s a distasteful prick in my opinion

He was a decent player but “icon” of the game?

    Do me a favour

He had a dirty mattress in prison. Ah bless.

    What was he expecting?

A memory foam mattress? Duck feathered pillow? 24/7 room service?

It’s a prison cell not a suite at the Savoy ffs

Disgraceful decision. Should have been jailed. As should anyone caught driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
I did it a few times in my early 20’s, and it’s something I’ve never been proud of.
I made a conscious decision many yrs ago, to never do it again, even if I’ve only had 1.
