Thread: Clean sheet for Etheridge last night

Clean sheet for Etheridge last night

A very creditable draw against China in the World Cup Qualifiers.

A good save at the end as well. Should he play for us against Wednesday?

No, bringing back a jetlagged Etheridge for an in form Smithies would be a weird move

Feel like we've missed the boat to bring him back in ahead of the derby now, which is a shame. Smithies has been decent enough but Etheridge is a better keeper and I'd be more confident with him in goal against Swansea.

Before West Bromwich, I would have totally agreed with you, but to concede all those goals, from long range shots (yes, one was world class), I think it’s time to call Neil back into the fray

Only seen them once but they did look soft, and to concede from that distance is.. well it shouldn’t happen that often!!

I think we should sell either Etheridge or Smithies in January, how many back up keepers do we need?

Smithies made some brilliant saves in that match to keep the score down.
