Probably not?
In big games like this just reminds us how disappointing that is. Even in the last decade or so we’ve had Bellamy and Ledley score big goals at the Liberty and others like Blake (remember when he hit the post??!) Matthews and Ramsey contribute aswell.
Just adds that bit of spice doesn’t it? Shame.
Jazz had 70 minutes on Monday in the u23s.
He might make the bench if he has avoided injuring himself in training this week?
There’s 3 at least in our squad. Richards, Coxe, Vaulks.
Not to mention other fringe players like Waite
Whether any will be in the 16 tomorrow is down to form and fitness.
Not that it matters a ****
Speak for yourself, I think it's an embarrassment that we do not have one Wales qualified player who has been a realistic contender for the thirst team starting eleven in recent weeks because it highlights how much our Academy is failing at a time when performances and results from our wholly imported side have been below most people's expectations.
It does matter though. It meant more having ledley v Allen in centre midfield in the derby. Look at Ledley and Allen’s reactions when they scored huge goals away from home. They weren’t fake reactions- that was real.
Just can’t feel the same say if bacuna or Murphy get a similar goal today. Of course there has to be a mix but zero even in contention? Embarrassing- particularly as most of the current wales team came through at Swansea.
Ps- the best chance of us having a welsh player in the squad is a player who came through the Swansea academy! As I say- embarrassing.
This can be filed alongside the following tweet as a view on Cardiff City by a dedicated City fan that I simply don't get:
"Our academy players will miss out because the majority of them aren’t very good.(https://twitter.com/NotOfficialCCFC/...33114203181056)
It's pushing in the direction of supporting the club to the extent of denying reality. Part of the clubs role should be to develop young talent and it's something that has been seriously lacking over several years now. It does matter.
