    Re: Team for Brum?

Difficult to know where to start. One of our centre backs will have to go. Probably Morrison as he was injured early in the game.
Etheridge was ok apart from his awful kicking.
Both full backs are as good as weve got.
Midfield was awful. Pack was disappointing, Ralls put himself about at least. Badly needed another body in there.
If you are going to play two wingers they need to contribute far more than they are.
Glaxel, had no service. Cardiff style totally unsuited. Needs to be shipped out. Not sure Ward was on pitch.
    Etheridge
    Peltier
    Nelson
    Flint
    Bennett
    Tomlin
    Bacuna
    Pack
    Hoilett
    Ward
    NML

Smithies has to play. Etheridge's kicking is so bad at this point that it actively hurts us.

Why can't he put his foot through the ball? it's unbelievable.

    Smithies

    Peltier
    Nelson
Flint/Morrison (not arsed who, both are liabilities)
    Bennet

    Bacuna
    Pack
    Ralls

    Whyte
    NML
    Ward

If Hoilett and Tomlin are fit then they should be in, ideally for NML and Bacuna.

Etherise is hurting us with his poor kicking, it’s been embarrassing since he came in and he has shown ZERO improvement. Swansea fans were taking the piss out of him all game.

I would ship Bennett off but we have no other option at left back, likewise for Peltier, though he’s solid he offers nothing going forward which again hurts us with Whyte ahead of him who has no end product.

All I want is the Morrison/Flint experiment to be over, they are a disaster together, I have no idea how good Nelson is but it can’t hurt to change it up considering the amount of goals we are shipping

Think we’ve got to go with Ward up top as he’s the only one who has scored goals.

I’d then go for Tomlin/Paterson or NML playing centrally behind him. We need to get Paterson going again some how.

Flint should be dropped really. If we’re not going to give Nelson a chance then surely he has to go? Otherwise what’s the point?

    Seriously?

You would go with a back 3 including Flint and Morrison?

I don't think it would take Birmingham long to work out if they have anybody who has the pace of an asthmatic tortoise with a broken leg who's stuck in a wheelchair and is feeling a bit wheezy that if they play the ball into the channels they will beat our sprint kings for the ball.

    The solution is relatively simple

What is the difference between this season's defence and last season's and the season before when we won promotion and we competed (relatively speaking) in the premier league - FLINT.

get him out now and put preferably Bamba then Nelson or perhaps Pack - anybody but bloody Flint. We may as well be playing with a Giant Redwood in defence. M'Boro fans were grateful to get rid of him - he was bleedin average when he peaked at the Wurzels and we always knew we would beat them - yet we go and sign their dross.

    We desperately miss Manga

You’re probably right although team selection could be improved with Pugh instead of Huw and also Barney McGrew

    Re: Team for Brum?

Etheridge (but I understand the call for Smithies)

    Peltier
    Morrison
Bamba (Nelson) Flint no-where near the pitch.
    Bennett (is Coxe left footed?)

    Ralls
    Pack
    Bacuna

    Tomlin
    Ward

    Bogle

(abandon waste of space wingers & match up in midfield)

I'm travelling to the match with the Birmingham lads from work. They're concerned as their attack is small & quick .... our static defence is in trouble then!

One thing was settled on Sunday. Bamba in for Flint when he is ready.

    Pelts
    Morrison
    Bamba
    Bennett

    Ralls
    Bacuna

    NML

    Ward

Our “options” in midfield and up to are a disgrace considering the money we’ve spent on them

    Re: Team for Brum?

    Smithies

    Coxe
    Bamba/Nelson
    Morrison
    Flint
    Hoilett/Whyte

    Pack
    Ralls
    Vaulks

    Ward
    Glatzel

Pack sat in front of the back 4, Coxe and Hoilett given license to go forward, Ralls and Vaulks both box-to-box workers in the middle, with Vaulks given more license to support the front two

The 4-4-2 on Sunday was suicidal, the wingers contributed next to nothing in attack because they were too busy defending and the midfield was cut through far too easily, exposing Morrison and the carthorse. Warnock has also worked himself into the fantastic position of either not playing his favourite (and a fan favourite) in Sol Bamba, or dropping either the captain or big money summer signing

    Genius.

It doesn't make any sense, does it! We were nearly always guaranteed to get something out of the game whenever we played against Bristol City. They had no one who you thought could hurt us, bang average, as you said and continually finishing below us. Yet we go and raid their club for players?
