Thread: Regular CCMB updates that have disappeared

Regular CCMB updates that have disappeared

I was just thinking of some of the regular updates we used to have on here over the years that seem to have disappeared:

    Loan Watch
    NigelBlues match reports
    Deep in the bowels
Didn't we used to have a photographer too, who took decent photos during the game?

We've still got TOBH's "six decades of..." going strong, but it would be good to see some more regular content like the above. Have I missed any?

Jon Candy was it? Didn't he have to stop because of some copyright thing with the club or the league?

Nigelblues Match reports-He'd tell how much he had spent on watching the City away and then he's give a total up until that game

He did. Some really good pics, the club should've given him a job.

Ah yes. Mark Kennedy's diary was excellent.

I do like Eric the Half a Bee and all his stats.

The ‘random West Indian lady’ thread only required one update but it was a particular favourite as the poster left the thread on a knife edge for days

His comment about two goals either end of Roath Park lake and not losing a ball in the Water under Warnockball was class.

The fella who wrote it no longer follows Cardiff City or has any interest in it which is a shame - it was the best thing ever put on here

Loan Watch - That is Loramski, posted as recently as today. Maybe we don't have so many loans on the go

Nigel is still going strong, just not writing the reports that at one point were the backbone of the board/site

Deep in the Bowels was Kev, RIP

Jon Candy took the pics until the club stopped him, it bothered the FL that someone, for free, was giving fans what they wanted to see.

Probably one of the best parody accounts ever.

    Indeed

and how the hell Nigel wrote those match reports when
    1. he normally only got to the games at least 10 minutes after they started as he was having a drink
    2. he had normally had at least 5 or 6 pints and his attention to detail was superb

One of the best is Nige

That trip to Upton Park when they threw all the fruit at us. NigelBlues did a brilliant review of that. They all ended up in a pub in Slough when their bus broke down.....or something. Reminds me how passionate I was myself back then.

Yep the tyre blew out on our bus and we spent a couple of hours in a Slough pub whilst the one man band played city-related song requests to his biggest ever crowd! Probably my favourite away trip

Didn't Penarth Kev (author of deep in the bowels) sadly pass away a few years ago?

Those deep in the bowels posts were brilliant and sorely missed.
    RIP Kev.
