I predict that whichever striker replaces him will bang the goals in. Or maybe not as we haven't had a striker score 15 goals since Jay Bothroyd 8 years ago

Whoever it is will have a thoroughly dispiriting afternoon getting drenched, trying to get close to long balls descending through the floodlit sky like seagulls after your chips. The awful conditions will mean less football being played than normal (if that's possible) and our lone striker being very isolated for absolutely no reward.

Bogle and Ward to have a decent time of it and Glatzel will strike a formidable partnership with Madine to become the most expensive U23 strike-force in the league.

Yes, he's playing in Japan aged 37 and averaging a goal every two games... plenty enough to notch 15 goals a season. I recall in 1996 when the Eggo ran a bells and whistles back page splash announcing the capture of Steve White from Hereford. His scoring record there was excellent, they trumpeted him as a saviour. Not until the penultimate paragraph did they reveal he was also a 37-year-old. Wiki says he scored 17 in 45 appearances and wasn't half bad, much like Chris Pike years prior.

Someone will still blame him for today's performance, we used to have a tosser sitting behind us a couple of seasons ago whose only contribution used to be FFS Whitts every time Whitts touched the ball

One game he screams out PUT A ****ing tackle Whittingham FFS

Funny as **** when we turned around and told him Whitts wasn't playing today

Yep, now we just need Tomlin and junior in regularly, possibly smithies too and we will rocket up the table.

We do have a chap called Bogle and a Scottish nutter called Paterson whom I'm sure would relish terrorising defences.
