    And I noticed this story in the hard copy of The Times today (only accessible online for those with a subscription). about a GDR female athlete called Ines Geipel, who, from a young age, was subjected to doping (and worse) by her trainers. (It didn't help that her father was a Stasi officer).

    That picture brought back a few memories. The trouble with the Olympics was that it got sexualised. Those lithesome and willowy blond women high jumpers with their long legs and …Oh, need I go on. It just stimulated degenerates who sat in front of the TV drooling and fantasizing.
