Could Vincent tan in theory sell one of our players to one of his other clubs for a ridiculous price of say 20 million? Would that not be another way for clubs to beat the system until that loop hole is also shut?

The directors of the buying club would have an issue legally. For tax purposes at least, transfer pricing principles step in and replace any such arrangements with transactions on arms length terms. Clearly such things are part art part science, and it might be quite hard to find market comparables for say Gary madine. I've no idea if FFP has similar provisions for transactions between clubs under common control but if it doesn't, then frankly that's piss poor. Im not really sure why uefa or FIFA allow someone like tan to own and control two clubs anyway. Its inviting abuse
