A little strange hearing Earnies accent though, i he really has picked up the " yank " accent from his time in Canada and then the States

Reminded me of Jan Molby he picked up the scouse accent very quick.

I think that having one's own ingrained accent in a mother tongue being changed by moving to another region is different to one's accent in a second language changing to the locality one moves to.
