The main thing would be the duty free lounges and there's no reason that you couldn't pick up and drop off passengers in nets hung from Chinook helicopters.
We could flatten Tesco and re open Tremorfa Airport

I think given they have been starved of cash by Westminster they havnt done a bad job .......you can only work with what you are given

Having said that they have made some very poor decisions and I think mark drakeford is not the fella to lead the assembly , which I voted for

I think labour will lose control of the assembly at the next election , I hope they don't but I think they will

Yes I do and yes I agree with your assessment. The male actor, whose name escapes me, died not too long ago after being in the Chrismas Special of 'Not Going Out'.

Very difficult election to predict. I won't be voting for Labour because of Corbyn and Welsh Labours failings. Would never vote Tory due to fake promises/lack of investment, electrification, lagoon etc. That leaves Plaid and Lib Dems and I believe the only one who will genuinely have Wales as an interest and not as at best an afterthought is Plaid so that is where my vote will go.

I respect that , plaid are a genuine socialist party but at their core they want an independent Wales so they put off so many people because there is no way a country the size of Wales , with its lack of a manufacturing base and reliance on public sector employment could survive on its own

Labour could certainly learn a lot on the social policy front from plaid , that's for sure

    Re: Election result prediction

Polls are tightening in Wales , labour seem to be gaining momentum , if you pardon the expression and if this trend continues then things might not be all plain sailing for Boris

Theresa may had a huge lead in the polls until the big day

I am still going for a Tory majority sadly , from my perspective , overall

Kinell, Corbyn was simply dreadful last night. Andrew Neil butchered him.

    Re: Election result prediction

The old saying...."Sorry is the hardest word to say" comes to mind. Not just Corbyn but politicians in general. Also admitting to changing your mind seems not to be allowed as if it is extremely humiliating to do so. I would have more respect for any politician who finds it possible to say either!

I am not particularly impressed by either Johnson or Corbyn. I must admit I did have to laugh at Boris's wisecrack today about the country being carbon neutral by 2050 and Corbyn neutral by December 2016!

That's suggesting that Boris might fall short of a majority

Yougov's MRP (Multi Level Regression and Post Stratification!!! ) poll is out at 22.00 in The Times.

This is the poll which got the result almost exactly right in 2017.

I am not going to try and explain how it works!!!

Big majority. If you think it is on the right track then there is loads of money to made from individual seat betting. Some of those Con gains Lab are 1/4 with the bookies.

If that idiot Boris gets in by fifty plus seats I hope that's the back of Corbyn , Abbott and the rest of the lunatic fringe

Hopefully the party will adopt a more moderate stance to attract liberal voters as the liberal party is finished for good after clegg got into bed with the Tories and swinsom turned out to be hopeless

The Labour party needs someone like David milliband of old to sweep up the middle ground

Brexit has totally fecked up this country and those labour voters who have switched to the Tories over this matter will have to answer to their grandchildren when the Tories preside over this disaster , called by a Tory to save his own arse yet playing directly into the xenophobia and little Britain attitude of a worryingly large proportion of the population

It's all going tits up !

Don't come running when the shit hits the fan under this lot , too late to cry then

As for Corbyn , I am voting labour but what a plank he's proving to be

The bit I highlighted is your call for New Labour MKII. Blairites running the show again for 13 years would ensure Ebbw Vale, Tredegar, Maesteg, Briton Ferry, Llanelli, Port Talbot, Caerphilly, Rhondda, Aberdare, Merthyr and many other areas would all see a mosque appearing and a call to Friday prayers would be heard. It's going to be the same with the blue team of course but at a slower pace.

    Re: Election result prediction

I may be wrong but isn't it Thursday prayers ?
They do the yodelling thing several times every day though.

The trouble with Jeremy he is a man of single conviction and deep hatred , not one of intelligence.

Neil is a sharp cookie, he destroyed Sturgeon as well , the only way he gets caught out is when interviewing someone who is nimble of mind and grammatically canny.

    Johnson is avoiding him.

    Re: Election result prediction

Best thing he could do. Andrew Neil is one of the very few conservatives at the BBC but I don't think he'd go easy on BoJo , who's got plenty of vulnerabilities.
If it's possible to dodge that interview he'd be well advised to do it because the potential **** ups outweigh the ammunition he'd give opponents by not doing it.

It'll all be over in a fortnight - lets hope it's alright

Just so I have it straight, you know Johnson is a liar. You know he'll come unstuck if asked questions about his lies. So you want him to avoid scrutiny to maximise the chances that this untrustworthy man (whom you don't even trust to speak) gets to lead the country for five years.

And this because you don't want Corbyn (which I can understand) and do want Brexit (which this untrustworthy man has promised he will deliver, despite having failed less than a month ago).

"You get what you deserve" seems apt. It's just a shame that it drags everyone else down too.

Of course he is. Incumbent PM's don't like this sort of interview unless they are behind in the polls and desperate.

The 2017 election showed the public don't appreciate that.
