Manchester derby racist abuse claim: Man arrested

In custody and may also get sacked.

What would anyone on here do if they were close to someone acting the same way?

Watching efl on quest. They said there was a racial incident at FGR, that surprised me as I thought them to be a very inclusive club.

Yes ... someone giving one of the Scunthorpe players abuse.

Locals here are generally very peaceful converted vegans with no apparent history of racial abuse.

I wouldn't know ... I only go to a few games ... last one I saw Parkin was playing.

I'm surprised anyone does this sort of thing these days, what with "the snowflake generation" wanting to report anything and everything these days - or do they only get offended behind a keyboard?

I know, fecking snowflakes. I'm not black so it doesn't bother me what names people call them.

As I predicted on another thread the far more serious offence of throwing objects one of which hit a player is being ignored by the snowflake media.

A game behind closed doors might hurt Man City.

It's in the first sentence of the linked article.

"A man has been arrested after objects and racist abuse appeared to be targeted at Manchester United players during Saturday's derby."

Why do you think being hit by an object is worse than casual racism, or to reword this question, why do you think casual racism is more acceptable than being hit by an object?

how do you know its racism. From what BlueMatt posted, all I see is someone jumping up and down in a half arsed manner. He's certainly not gesticulating in the way that has been portrayed.

you're also like me, you have no idea what the alleged perpetrator did or did not say, as you weren't there and there is no evidence other than the word of he making the complaint.

It wasn't anybody with a keyboard that reported him though, it was people at the stadium.

There's only one snowflake generation and it's the older one terrified of things changing around them so spend all their time moaning about the young. But that doesn't count as moaning because they're old and like Top Gear and documentaries about WW2

I hate Top Gear but am quite keen on Wolverhampton Wanderers being in League 2👍

Having seen the video, I tend to agree with you. Can't see anything conclusive either.

Hardly a whippersnapper as you well know and of course this isn't true of all the older generation by any stretch.

Just bored of the hypocrisy of people who are sensitive and throw their arms up in the air to every societal change calling the young generation snowflakes for daring to make their opinions known about matters they don't consider important because they weren't considered an issue when they were young. If you want a gathering of snowflakes, read a Daily Mail comments section under an article about Greta Thunberg.
