Thread: Would Tomlin have kept us up last season?

Would Tomlin have kept us up last season?

He's single handedly the reason we're not close to the relegation places. Even as a cameo, wouldn't he have been better in the squad than Madine or Damour?

It’s amazing how much he improves when his contract is running out.

Nah, I wouldn't have thought so.

I'm not sure I think he was well past Premiership standards last year hence his decline in fittness, attitude and application .

The more I see Tomlin play, the more I dislike Warnock for not playing him.

I think he wanted to, but just didn’t fit in to how we played.
    The guy is undoubtedly class.
Finally a replacement for Peter Whitingham.
    Absurd level of quality.

He didn’t do much for Peterborough in Division 1 ?

In my opinion Camarasa is a far more influential player than Tomlin (though he did have his own mood swings) and he could't keep us up so thinking that he could have made an impact on our points total last year is stretching it a bit.....ok a lot!

Re: Would Tomlin have kept us up last season?

Tomlin joined Bristol City on loan 27/01/16 and had fans singing songs for him to be signed permanently, but having signed he reverted back to the lad who couldn't take fitness as seriously as a professional footballer needs to. I believe this is the last season Tomlin has with us and hopefully we're seeing the real him after a summer of getting his head straight rather than the 2016 Tomlin who was (on the face of it) playing for a new contract rather than himself or the team.

In short, 2019 Tomlin is the best version potentially since 2012-2013 but also potentially ever. 2018/19 Tomlin would not kept us up.

Not even Jesus could have saved us last season.

I think Camarasa is the better player so Even a fit Tomlin wouldn’t have ousted him.

We missed out on staying up by 2 points. I would have thought a motivated Tomlin as he is now , would have made a difference in us getting those extra points.

would the referee and the linesman in the Chelsea game have kept us up if they had played better?

It would have had a far more profound effect on our survival than Tomlin.
