I think his name was Phil Taylor, we signed him on loan from rotherham in the ashurst goodfellow days
Always offside that bloke was
Cameron Toshack.
Phil Walker. About the same time we had Chris Rodon and Paul Bannon, equally hopeless, And Cameron Toshack too. Not a goals between them. At least Morrys Scott scored a few inathe FA Cup. John Pearson was another no goal centre forward. But I think for the wages Omar Niasse and for the transfer fee Gary MAdine are up there.
Ndumbu-Nsungu wasn’t great.
Eddie Johnson
The Toshack family could dominate both the best & worst threads
Hard to know how to answer this.
Absolute worst in terms of ability: probably someone like steve flack who simply didn't look like a footballer in his time with us, but hard to criticise a player who tried hard and was a bargain basement signing anyway. There are loads more in that category too, most of whom we will have forgotten and for good reason.
worst in terms of being out of place in otherwise good teams: Eddie must be up there. Totally lost.
worst in terms of crap return for money spent: Cornelius and Madine are the flagship crap signings, but there are loads more - Alan Lee, Revell (?).
old players who scored for other clubs but not us: ALF, Fowler (not his fault), Nogan, Philiskirk
bizarre signings: Guerra; Niasse; Dai Thomas; Feretti
Basically we've had such a variety of crap strikers who have been crap for such a wide variety of reasons. We've really been spoilt in that regard. In some ways it is a pity that OGS didn't pick himself as a player manager as he would open up a new category of shit player-managers.
Does Ronnie Moore count?
He wasn’t a bad footballer but as a goal scorer , for us, he was awful.
Anyone remember those badges?
Steve "lethal" Lynex 62 appearances 2 goals
Paul Shaw
I think the only goal he scored, came off his arse
Glen Crowe
Ian Love worse than Toshack
Chris greenacre
