I was going to reply that Hammar and Dagger would have been a scary attacking pair but it was Tommy Harmer not Hammer.

Surprisingly, our head to head record is very close. If it wasn't for their two most recent victories against us, we would be all square.

However I don't think any team has scored more goals against us in our history. I stand to be corrected on this fact though.

Some interesting anomalies. Four years before they smashed us 9-0 at Deepdale we beat them 6-2 on the same ground. Indeed the year after the 9-0 drubbing we beat them 4-0 at our place. Funny old game !

You would be correct. We've conceded 171 goals to Preston. Next come Charlton with 130 goals against us, then QPR and Burnley with 122.

Our conceding rate to Preston isn't the highest, though. We've conceded 1.86 goals a game to Preston. That's lower than Luton, Wolves, Man Utd, Man City, Bournemouth and Maidstone.

In case you are interested (and haven't dropped off at this point), we've scored more against Burnley than anyone else (125), followed by Preston (121) and Bristol City (112). Obviously games within the Welsh pyramid aren't included.

Ah the mighty Maidstone, what a blot on our record that is. So many crazy scores against Preston over the years, I'm not surprised they appear in both your lists.
