Perhaps as a group of players they have been together too long, and the club has not refreshed with enough quality to provide competition for places to keep players on their toes , and hungry for that first eleven spot.

I also think thier loss in the Champions League final hurt them badly. I wonder if some of the players have reflected on what could have been, and will they ever reach those heights again ?

I though it was a good game to watch for the neutral, some of the skill by Chelsea was quite sublime on times.

I don't think so.

Players in those big games either have it or they don't. Liverpool seem to have it and their mental toughness seems to be increasing which should see them winning the league this time round barring a collapse of epic proportions.

Spurs getting to the Champions League Final seemed to be the best they could do and I doubt we'll see them there for some time if ever again. You wouldn't be too surprised if Liverpool made it again this season. I know I certainly wouldn't.
