I'm wondering if I'm the only one who never saw it.

I have never seen it. The only thing I ever watch on the box is MOTD. I've been re-watching the Barchester Chronicles on the net and it shows how much the BBC has declined in the last 30 years. Today it is all PC rubbish and lies.

Dont watch anything with James Cordon in it.

There is the possibility that your post was not meant to be a compliment, but I will take it that you were saying that I have an enviable life. Yes, I think I am very lucky. I am almost uncontaminated by modern culture. I have never seen any programmes like the Xfactor or Big Brother. Likewise with shows about "celebrities" dancing, making cakes or being abandoned in the jungle. I have never willingly listened to any pop music. People like Adele and Ed Sheehan are just names in the paper to me. I have never heard any music by them. I have never eaten a kabab and I have never eaten anything in McDonalds. I have never eaten any Chinese food apart from Chinese gooseberries. My tastes are simple. My favourite food is porridge and my idea of a lovely snack is sliced pepper and apple covered in some lime juice. For me a good night is going to bed early with a hot water bottle and reading a few old Charlie Buchan magazines, a football biography or perhaps the history of some obscure Scottish football team. I wake up without the gloomy prospect of a day at work hanging over me. My time is all my own and I use it to improve myself at the gym and on that great learning machine the computer.

My wife and I watched. Neither of us could see the attraction.
    Didn't laugh once.

Its ok, i assumed it was only popular in south wales because thats where its based. People seem to either love it or hate it, its like anything on BBC nothing to controversial.

I saw the later series of Stella before trying G & S - and found the latter as not being in the same league.

Nope.....I always liked the series but this WAS badly written and dated......a bit embarrassing at times.

    Re: Gavin & Stacey

Like most Christmas comedies, they nearly all revolve around the calamities of trying to cook Christmas dinner. Not one laugh out loud moment, pretty shite actually. And that Stacy character makes no effort whatsoever to speak with a Barry accent ( an accent that’s more Kaardiff than Kaaardiff, if you get my drift). Gives Rob Brydon a chance to churn a song out, he needs to stick to Would I Lie To You, more laughs in one minute of that than the whole of Gavin & Stacy. And, yes, James Cordon isn’t a likeable chap at all.

    Bryn was shite
Nessa was okay but the accent was very forced

Well I thought it was brilliant. You have to have watched it before to get it mind.
11 odd million people watched it so most must like it.

How do you work that out? And also 11 million watch Mrs Brown, doesn't mean it is funnier that Inside No 9 with just 2 million viewers.

Some of those Inside No.9 episodes are very good. Some a bit weird

My 17 year old son loves it.I think it’s bang average. It’s safe viewing. Not much more to be said really.

It was ok, passable but nothing spectacular. Not as good as the original series

Christmas specials do tend to be a bit of a let down

The House Of Fools Christmas special a few years ago was superb.

I saw about 5 minutes of it once and thought it a poor documentary; although some people were trying to tell me it was intended as comedy. I pointed out that anything with James Condom in it could never be funny.

There was much publicity after to say that it had the highest viewing figures on BBC for 10 years. Having started to watch it before giving up I can only conclude that its high viewing figures was down to the fact that there was nothing else on.

Have watched all G&S before but not seen this one yet.

I did watch Mrs Brown's Boys though. Not because I intended to, it just came came on so I watched it.

Most exciting part was realising Curtly Watts was in the episode.
