Thread: Is Harris completely deluded?

    Is Harris completely deluded?

"Cardiff City boss Neil Harris calls for fixture reshuffle after poorly-attended FA Cup clash with Carlisle"

Does he really think the crowd of around 5,200 was due to the fixtures schedule?

Recent disinterest of management in Cup games, putting out under-strength teams and a poor record/performances in Cup games against teams from lower leagues may just possibly be more to blame.

Harris sometimes comes across as a bit thick or not tuned-in to the club's recent history, IMO.

Couldn't agree more, nothing to do with a heavy schedule of fixtures. It's purely to do with the clubs total lack of interest in any cup competition whatsoever. Even in recent years when we have have picked a second string against teams we should have beaten for one reason or another we have rolled over. The club has to realise that even the most dedicated fan has better things to do than be made a fool of.

He's probably embarrassed as unlike Warnock he put out a strong team for the FA Cup game, and was still held to a draw at home by a Division Two team.

All crowds for fa cup round three games are crap if the opposition is crap

It's not just a cardiff city thing

Exactly. Nothing to see here except Cyclops and his anti-Harris agenda.

What's he supposed to say? "No one cares about the FA Cup anymore"?

Out of interest, were ticket prices the same for the Carlisle game as they are for league games?

I saw the (rather obvious) suggestion somewhere that clubs might do more to promote these sorts of games, especially straight after Xmas, by charging £10 for adults and £5 for kids, giving tickets to local schools, or BOGOF etc.

(And apologies if the club already do this)
