Good for Jewish votes in America with the anti-Islamists in the States approving, too. Not forgetting financial support, too. Rather a lack of Palestinians at the press conference as was Palestinian input into yet another attempt to sort out the multiplicity if issues in the area. How long before Trump wants to return Northern Ireland to the Republic as part of "trade" negotions? There's votes in it for him.

Interesting read regarding the US support for Israel in general:

Israel are the West eyes and ears in a very volatile and dangerous part of the world, and one cannot see an end to that , without proliferation in that area .

The so called peace deal obviously fits each leaders narrative and election appeal.

But can anyone realy see the two parties ever agreeing to any peace pact or deal .

Is a shit deal better than a bad one, if it stops bloodshed ?

What's the difference between a shit deal and a bad one?

Why is the shit deal stopping bloodshed but not the bad one? Is it just me that's a bit (very) confused about this?

Also, just a thought... Giving Israel pretty much everything they want may not be the best way to prevent future bloodshed, you know, just in case future generations of either side decide that the "shit deal" was too shit and needs to be reversed.

Which 'deal' is the shit one and which is the bad one?

As far as I can see there is no deal at all - just a new US/Israeli plan to entrench land theft and apartheid, steamroller international law, abandon the last bad deal (Oslo Accords and a vague aspiration to a 2 state 'solution') and replace it with bantustans or concentration camps controlled by the IDF in return for a bag of dollars. Shit and bad - and no deal.

Did Kushner even speak to the Palestinians? They certainly weren't there at the farcical 'Deal Of The Century' launch.
