Thread: Our forward players

    Our forward players

May I politely suggest that they need to grow a pair and step up to the plate when it comes to penalties. Good on Flint, Vaulks and Pack for actually putting their hands up at least

They scored 3 goals. How about our defensive players step up during the game. I'm pretty sure Murphy and Glatzel would have been 4th and 5th.

I'm talking about having the courage to take the pens, it's a fair point about the game itself though

Bamba, Bennett, Sang, Paterson, Etheridge, Richards, Glatzel and Murphy didn't take a pen. If you assume the last two would take the last two, there's nobody else to pick.

Glatzel should not be taking pen number 4 or 5

Someone said he was injured. Can you imagine the reaction if Murphy missed?

Glatzel and Murphy should have been 1 and 2 ffs.
Not one forward took the first three penalties!

We didn't have three forward players on the pitch.

    Three questions:
Who decided the penalty taking order?
Did the players practice penalties in training?
Did the manager make any attempt to prepare for penalties? It being a cup match and all...

    Harris, No, No.
I would say no prep whatsoever and the takers decided on the spot.

Did you see the team that was left? As soon as it got to pens, we were stuffed.

If I was Harris knowing this game was coming up I would have had an hour, not a whole day but one hour of every player taking pens at our keepers.
They could have had ten shots each and the coach on hand with a few pointers.
Using the excuse of the players who were left is no excuse.

Also having our two best strikers of a ball not even getting the chance to take one backs up my view.

Anyway, it's past now and I don't think anybody should be hung out to dry for it.

All of the above is my opinion.
And your answer to the particular question, just out of interest, is...?
