People who write for 'the tab' are about the level of journalistic skill that Wales Online like to recruit.

    Trash stories for simple people.

Came up on the Google app, I'd never heard of it before in all honesty.

If you define a country as a sovereign state (following an existing argument on Pointless) then although I loath to say it but Wales isn’t a country

How do I answer "what country were you born in" if ever asked?

Sadly the Gavin & Stacey series did nothing but reinforce the stereotype. I never saw the original series but the so called Christmas "special" was appalling. It was hyped as if it was going to be one of the funniest comedy shows ever and I fell for it!

I have some sympathy for the young lady but she needs to learn to let these remarks be like water off the proverbial duck's back. Also she is studying in Wales for heaven's sake - I don't know how she would survive in an English city! When I was a student at London university back in the 60's it wasn't so much mickey-taking about my valley's accent, but actually being understood. I must have sounded like the Welsh equivalent of a Glaswegian. One of my earliest memories was ordering plaice and chips and being brought a plate of chips.
