I was reading [somewhere] this week about the potential income that the PL is looking at with the changes in how people view their media. Effectively it'll all be pay-per-view across the globe with the clubs getting paid individually. It looks like vomit-inducing wealth for the top clubs, but has all the potential to go pear-shaped, though I guess that's what's driving the clubs to speculate. Ironically, the clubs don't get any wealthier - it nearly all goes in players' salaries. As an aside, one club not mentioned is Tottenham. They're now three quarters of a billion pounds in debt..
