Received an email on Friday from Opodo stating that there has been a change to the flights I was booked on.
After spending ages on hold and after my call had been dropped a couple of times I was informed that the second leg of my return flight (i.e. Dubai to Heathrow) was cancelled and that the best replacement entailed a 25 hour stopover in Dubai instead of the 6 hours with the original flight. I stated that I wasn't best pleased and the operator at Opodo then found, weirdly, Emirates flights departing Dubai at the same time as originally booked and arriving at the same time in the UK. I'm just concerned that other fans in the same situation may have may have opted for the 25 hour stopover without much resistance.....
