Newport County fans in trouble again

Chants and taunting in the game verses bradford city on saturday

One idiot with a leeds united flag ......what is it with the people of newport supporting the big clubs .....shouted burn bradford burn at the bradford city manager stuart mcall , a clear reference to the bradford city fire disaster in 1986 where 56 people died

Apparently mcall turned round to him and offered him out but he ran off

Mcall , who played in the game in 1986 said it was the sickest thing he had ever heard in his time in football

Bloke should be locked up for that , newport county say they are investigating but I doubt anything will happen

Not proud of this pedantry, but it was 1985. It's the 35th anniversary this year. Absolutely sickening tragedy. They use footage from it for fire service training.

Whoever that scumbag was, hope he gets caught.

The video is on youtube, the stand is completely ablaze in minutes. Terrible tragedy.

I used to live in bradford and there is a memorial in the city centre

It always amazes me how little coverage it gets compared to Hillsborough, hysel etc

    It's almost forgotten about

    Poor bastards

There are a couple which have been forgotten about.

1902 Ibrox 25 dead over 500 injured when a stand collapsed.
1946 Burndon Park 33 dead hundreds injured.
    1971 Ibrox 66 dead 200 I=injured (I remember this when it happened).

Wasn't Ibrox 71 when there was a late goal and the crowd that had left was rushing to get back in?

Let's hope these days are well behind us.

Yes that's what I remember. All the crash barriers collapsed under the crowd pressure.
