Never failed to rain every time I've been to Manchester.
Worked up around Slough, Windsor, Twickenham, Epsom etc and never ever seen rain there.

Yes we are in the south west of the uk and like cornwall are subject to prevailing winds from the Atlantic, bringing in moist air
So it does rain quite a lot
But I lived in Manchester and it was raining all the time up there
And in bradford , always bloody raining
Crap summers in yorkshire and Lancashire too
It's often belting hot in cardiff in the summer

Manchester is a rain sodden dump of a city
Bloody huge though
Wouldn’t surprise me if Cardiff has a higher annual rainfall than Manchester.
They say it never rains in southern Calfornia!!
It must be slow news day..
Thanks to the met office, you can get statistics on such things.
In terms of regions, stats go back as far as 1862. I've compared Wales, Scotland, N England and S England. Wales has been the wettest region in 55 of those years. Scotland has been the wettest in 103! No part of England has been wetter than Wales. The south of England has, unsurprisingly, been the driest in all bar 2 of those years.
Every time I’ve been to Scotland, spring, summer, autumn, winter, IT’S F UCKING PISSED DOWN !!!!!!!
Even to the extent, myself and the wife had to buy winter coats and brollys one year !!!!
In JULY !!!!!!
Cardiff has been revealed as the wettest city in Britain, with a soaking 1152 mm of rainfall annually. The Welsh capital topped the list of the UK's rainiest cities, compiled by rainwater harvesting specialist Freeflush, which used data from the Met Office.
so yeah ... it rains a lot and you should invest in a umbrella ella ella ella
Well known that Cardiff tops the list on the mainland. I moved to Manchester for uni and stayed. I occasionally tell people it was to go somewhere drier than Cardiff. Oh how they laugh..
Whilst I’m on, there is a list of Brains pubs on......the Brains website.
Oh, and Manchester is fantastic vibrant city. X
Concrete jungle when I lived there
Miles platting , moston, moss side , hulme crescents , longsight , levenshulme , the gooch street gang , rusholme , drive by shootings
Made cardiff look like a kindergarten
Alright if you were a student and didn't have to live in these very rough areas , we would hang out at the band on the wall, jillys rock club , the Ritz etc
Then you could go home to your cosy student hall of residence
No wonder the locals hated students
Most of the time we lived in fallowfield , which may or may not be as run down as when I left , withington areas , far from the madding crowd
It's set up to be the london of the north
Much preferred bradford , a real warm working class city , rough , but friendly
Mcr is quality sludge, best city on the planet, its a conveyor belt of quality bands.
Bethlehems Casuals next up for me. I'll move back one day, of that I'm sure
oh, and North Mcr (collyhurst, harpurhey, blackley) are much worse than the shitholes of the south you've mentioned.
I’ve got family in Burnage, we love going up there, Didsbury village, Stockport etc has some decent pubs & restaurants.
The stats say it does rain more here but I always find it amusing when the English make a joke about it as if you cross the border and the weather turns into the Mediterranean.
It's like two bald blokes fighting over a comb but one has a single wispy bit of hair on the side.
