    Seriously, where is the pilot?! Surely he would have been strapped in at the front. It’s relatively shallow waters where the flight went down (ie it’s not the middle of the Atlantic) so if his body did become seperated from the plane then currents would have washed him up in the Channel Islands or France.
    His family need some closure, just horrible. Bloody awful incident.

    Not so. The tidal streams in that area vary in direction throughout the day.

    It was always going to be dodgy to make a case with the pilot missing presumed dead and unable to be interviewed. We may never know if there was any coercion or bribery involved.

    The location of the wreck was at a depth of 68 metres at low tide (Lowest Astronomical Tide).

    Pure speculation on my part but it is possible further charges could follow after the CAA's final report are made public later this month.
