    R.I.P. Genesis P-Orridge

The Throbbing Gristle & Psychic TV founder has left this mortal coil after battling leukaemia for two-and-a-half years.

Just posted this after reading same article

They and he , she etc were totally off their heads

I like early industrial like killing joke and like bands influenced by them like godflesh , swans , fear factory etc but throbbing gristle were unlistenable in my view , and I listen to some right noise

Gosh missed that one helluva a charterer in the music UK music industry RIP ( Genesis P-Orridge,"Godperson of Industrial Music". )

I quote just before his death

“I’m stable right now, my blood counts are close to normal,”

P-Orridge said on a recent afternoon at home, flanked by a snoring Pekingese named Musty Dagger. “But at some point it will finally flare up and become terminal, and there’s no way to know when that might be. Optimistically, two years. Less optimistically, a year, maybe six months. And then I’m on the downward slope to death.”

I was aware of Throbbing Gristle at the time but never listened to their music in any great detail. They didn't go down the synth pop route, they were experimental artists forging their own electronic industrial sound.

The only thing I can remember from Psychic TV was the song Godstar which was about the life of Rolling Stones Brian Jones with whom Genesis P-Orridge had some strange fascination.

Weird. I don't remember it sounding like that. Is that a remix?
