I'd argue that the working class need job security and better wages. For "opportunity to succeed", you mean treated like shit, paid badly, having no rights until you prove you're able to step up.

I thought that, but then I looked at it about a week or so later and I thought the bomber had let rip.

Anecdotal evidence is just one form. I'm looking at outcomes, waiting lists, quality of care (as in beds, rooms) as well

Feedback , you are off your cake
Is there any evidence for this claim about waiting times?

Without successful business, where is job security and better wages coming from?

And no, I dont mean being treated like shit etc.

Then how come that, during the last supposed economic boom, where businesses were supposed to be more successful, this didn't particularly result in more full time jobs and better wages, but more zero hours contracts and less wages?

Also, what do you make of the deaths and misery caused by austerity?

what economic boom? We've not had one of those since the early noughties. Ignoring that point, you may have missed the missive, but society is moving towards a more flexible workforce. Gone are the days of jobs for life. There is a place for zero hour contracts as it gives some workers flexibility that they desire. However there are some employers who do take advantage. There is no magic solution as if you remove zero hour contracts to protect those being taken advantage of, then you punish those who like the flexibility it brings.

this is your opinion, there is little point in going over old ground.
