This appears to have been implemented successfully and in a timely fashion, just got to hope now it is up to scratch and the other pieces of the puzzle can be arranged (medical staff, ppe, etc).
Surely those not taking it seriously are now? When you have the Army deployed in London to build a temporary 4000 bed hospital you probably need to evaluate your own mental state if you think it is just 'media panic'.
“It’s just a bad flu”
‘The Italians have got it worse because they great each other with a hug and a kiss in their culture’
No they have it worse because they made a major error early on. They shut the schools before lockdown, all the kids then went off to stay with their grandparents or even on holiday with them while parents carried on working. Kiss of death for many of the oldies, they also co habit a lot in Italy and Spain, unlike here, grandparents, parents and kids all live together. Another kiss of death.
My wife has been nursing covid patients and has been off work since Wednesday.
Still no test for her.
Not so Facking impressive.
Where will the doctors, nurses and support staff come from for these new hospitals?

It is an impressive achievement, but as at the end of this week, Intensive Care beds in London were still well below capacity. This has to be a good sign, but it does question just how much use these new 'super hospitals' will get.
Of course, there's the argument that once they are built and ready for use, the lockdown can be removed, because then the NHS will have plenty of bed space, if cases do start to rise.
