    Rainbows in peoples windows...

Has to be said that the standard of Art work amongst 3-10 year olds seems to have dropped dramatically over the years.....

It's the parent's fault....doing the homework for their offspring. Especially if the kids parent is a (male) PE teacher..."the pointy end of the crayon goes on the paper".

This is the problem, and a lack of practical skills with our youngest in society, most three year olds wouldn't even know what a cold Chisel looks like. If you're going to paint a rainbow, then at least make it Symmetric.

    I was thinking that!

When I’m out on my bike I find myself subconsciously turning into Tony Hart (minus the cravat) and assessing the age of each artist, like I used to with my sister when we watched ‘Vision On’ as kids: ‘25’, ‘36’, ‘87’ etc.....🤦*♂️

Not sure about the cravat, couldn't find any images of that, but the mention of Vision On made me think of Screen Test, Clapperboard, Tales from Europe, the stuff that was on just after getting home from school. The Prof...

I used to secretly like Vision On and the dreamy theme music. Screen Test with Michael Rodd was an excellent programme, always featuring films from The Children's Film Foundation, whatever that is/was.

I think you're thinking of the Gallery Theme which is Left Bank Two by the Noveltones. (also used in the film The Aviator) The main theme is Accroche to Caroline by the Paris Studio Group and is quite lively. They're on a playlist that I listen to quite often. My American friends are impressed by my eclectic taste in jazz. My British friends see right through me but enjoy the nostalgia.

I fancied the woman off vision on

The one who always said we cant return your drawings

Which was out of order in my opinion

Yes, I agree about them not being able to return pictures - that part always detracted from my enjoyment of the programme. Like it was a bit sinister - were they were keeping them all in some massive art gallery somewhere? Or just binning them immediately after the show.

Did Tony Hart go on to create the little plasticine chap? I always thought that he was funny (the plasticine chap, not Tony Hart)

This thread started with me slagging off the artistic abilities of Children and you come along and turn it into smut. Are there no standards?
