As a dedicated puffer of very long standing the OP's link cheered me up no end.

Although I doubt whether it's possible to increase my already humongous nicotine intake because when using this computer I already have to use a newspaper regularly as a makeshift fan to disperse the cloud of smoke that blocks my view of the monitor.

I have no idea whether nicotine makes it less likely someone will catch Covid 19 - but I am certain that if a smoker catches it they will be less likely to survive. Everything we know about the disease says that knackered, tar-coated lungs will not help. At all!

I stopped smoking after 25 years just over 16 years ago (cold turkey) and I'm not sure my lungs have recovered yet! Bad habit!

Like wise, i stopped in 2006 from 60 B&H a day. i probably still have latent immunity in that case lol
