With the exception of The Beatles, arguably the most influential band of all time.
They laid the foundations for electronic/synth pop which was so prevalent throughout the 1980s.

Agree with the comments. He was very much part of an iconic group who were well ahead of their time. Quite brilliant and at least they received the plaudits for it.

I remember listening to Kraftwerk for the first time and thinking Wow, this is different. Got hooked on them after playing their Autobahn album to death. Heard earlier that Florian left Kraftwerk after an argument about a bicycle pump!
