    Professional football without supporters attending

    I will not work.
    It's a ridiculous plan.

The current season should be concluded without a doubt. But they have to wait until fans can attend.

If the Premiership think behind closed doors will work they are wrong.

It is a fans game and fans are required for televised football to be watchable.

Starting a season in August is traditional but hardly important.
Complete the 2019 20 season when fans can return.

The EFL can score a massive win by adopting this approach.

Let the Premiership make fools of themselves.

Could be a year until fans return, minimum. Clubs are going to struggle to survive enough without forgoing tv money too.

I agree it won’t be the same but I’ll be glad to have some sport to watch.

So you’re adamant that you’re not going to work, I take it

PS:——- I agree, it will be horrible, they’ll have to do “canned crowd” noises to make it watchable !!!!

didn't they try this is China when they couldn't get the crowds and the Government or some Org wanted to televise the games. Inflatable or cardboard spectators or something too I seem to recall.

It’ll be like watching city in any cup game against non premier league opposition
Or back in the welsh cup, or Wales ten years or so ago
Not the same experience but you end up watching it

Perhaps they will allow a small percentage in.

Weve a 33,000 seater stadium. Let in say 2000. Allow those die hards who were then we had crowds that low.

Problem is so many people claim they were there in those days wed have 20,000

It's going to be like watching a pre season friendly or an early round of the league cup. I'll chuck it on because I'm desprerate for some sport but it's going to be shite.

I don't really see what the alternative is thought. Especially when you see how much it spreads from tht one nightclub in Korea.

Sometimes. Getting smashed at home to the likes of Hereford in the pissing down rain in midweek was no fun at all.

As families are still able to socialise together, presumably there is nothing preventing Swansea allowing their fans to watch?

Im not sure i could watch a game on the telly if there was no crowd in the stadium. If you cant go and watch it, there is no point

Some of the best City games I've seen in recent years have been under 18 matches played in front of crowds which could easily have been able to maintain social distancing rules if required - I wonder what would happen with them if first team football returned behind closed doors?
