It has nothing to do with Boris even if they attack UK. They wouldn't allow him or any PM near the real tech stuff.

IT experts from the FBI and German intelligence authorities have gathered evidence showing that the attack was carried out by the hacker collective APT28, also known as Fancy Bear, working for the GRU. The same group is believed to have been behind the hack attack on the Democratic party in the run-up to the US presidential elections in 2016.

There is no evidence that Russia hacked the Democratic party server, as per the testimony of the Crowdstrike chairman before congress, while under oath.

I don't see it as inept at all. It's a strategy. By the time they get caught, the damage is done. I should imagine that the Russians see it as the cost of doing business.

I think if you read my post the right way you'll see that I don't see it as inept either. I have worked and drank with Russians and they may be many things but generally stupid is not one of them.
