Sad to hear. He’s always struck me as that type of person who has some sort of anxiety or if battling some inner demon.
Mental health issues are rife at the moment and glad he’s had the courage to speak out.
Yes, it's doesn't come as a surprise does it - so much of Bellamy's game was built on pace and it must have been soul destroying for him to have that reach a stage where he didn't want to sprint because it hurt too much must have been soul destroying.
It is very brave of him to open up , hats off to him . If hes been diagnosed with manic depression hes likely to be on some heavy duty medication .
Hes always had anger issues , not that having anger is a mental health problem but it can sometimes be a mask for inner turmoil .

I loved Bellers - one of my favourite all time players. However I don’t think management is for him with after reading this.
I would fear the negativity would get to him and brush off a lot of the criticism and pressure
