The poor kid ends up in hospital. Im sure a trip of 260 miles locked in a car with parents with a potentially deadly virus didnt help.

No one else in London who could provide care. Surely they like everyone else with children has a plan if you both become ill. Locking the child in the car and driving 260 miles is absurd. Complete load of bollox.

The whole point about staying home is not to put excess pressures on the NHS away from home. He goes away and his son ends up in hospital putting pressure on the nhs in a less densely populated area.
