Why?

Why? ….because it would show that not all American cops are the same. When he saw that car being driven erratically with two black adults in it he could have pulled them over and adopted the usual gruff “git outta the car……NOW” approach which seems to be the norm over there. He had just finished his shift and was on his way home, so he could have left her there, knowing that an ambulance was on its way.

Instead he stayed and tried to revive the child whilst waiting. When the ambulance was clearly delayed he showed compassion and took the mother and child to the hospital A&E department himself.

As a result a permanent bond has been formed between the two families, one black the other white.

Fair point, But no one is saying all police are bad just that if you’re black you’re more likely to be mistreated by the police.

The protests aren’t anti police they’re anti racism. This one amazing act doesn’t change that.

Just watched a brilliant film called just mercy about a death row lawyer with jamie Foxx. I’d recommend it to anyone, really good film.

Boris hoodwinks the brexiteers and long term labour voters into voting for him and Piers, interested in GMB ratings only, has got the left holding him up as some kind of moralistic martyr.

We’ve had police in this country attacked because of some police brutality in the States.

But, no, NO-ONE is saying all police are bad.

I don’t know the opinions of everyone but the whole movement is about racism within the police of which their is plenty.

Again if you want to reduce a civil rights movement to the behaviour of the minority of the biggest arse holes involved you might just be looking for any reason to undermine it.

Quite a brave lady in the present climate if all she says is true! Never heard of her before but a quick Internet search reveals she is a Trump supporter which inevitably has connotations. Nevertheless, in the present climate, very brave to stick her head above the parapet as they say. I guess she will be slaughtered (only metaphorically!) on social media.
