Football , Prince William and Mental health

I am no fan of the royal family and I dont fancy his wife but fair play he and his brother and their two babes dont half push the problem of the stigma regarding mental health

Fair play to the old baldy

BBC one tonight , five past eight

Mental health is getting a bit of a sexy subject these days sludge, celebs, sports stars and even members of the Elite are all at it-shows a vulnerable side-the media love it. I'd say that Tyson Fury has done more than anyone else to promote coping with mental health problems.

What we need is a celebrity who really opens up about how bad it can really be , sadly for some the only time we hear they have mental health problems is after they have committed suicide

What you and your boyfriend get up to in the privacy of your bedroom is your own business

Although I think that might be assault

Sadly hearing about mental health issues after a suicide isn't enough for some people.

Some bloke by me went into work in cardiff one day and jumped off the roof of a car park

Poor bastard had been suffering for years but got little support from family and so called friends ....oh hes having a bad day again is he ? etc etc

Of course they were all saying at the funeral oh we never knew etc etc

Ignorance and prejudice will always be there , the only people worth bothering with are fellow sufferers , the doctors and supportive friends and family

One thing is for certain , following this virus many people who thought mental illness was something that happened to someone else are going to be seeking help from an already over stretched NHS , the royal college of psychiatrists have described a tsunami of referrals coming their way
