    GOOD NEWS, for drinkers, hopefully

3 large Cardiff pubs, are having deliveries of BOOZE on Monday 22nd June

    That’s all I’m saying for now !!!!!

Outdoor drinking only? A lot of new cases in Texas and Florida have been linked to bars.

Definitely, if this is true. There's no way the ultra cautious WG are going to go from 2 households only meeting, and only outside, to pubs open in the space of a couple of weeks

I was having a beer with the owner of my local on Sunday, he owns 3 pubs in Cardiff, and he said he has been tipped off to be ready for 15 July. Mind you there is no saying that the WAG won't delay an extra week.
I also wonder if the UK Gov says 1 metre or 1.5 metres is OK will the welsh Gov insist on retaining 2.

Those with outside areas will flourish, both initially and long term IMO.

I, like many, can't wait for the pubs to re-open and get some kind of normality back in everyone's lives but I won't be risking the smaller "atmospheric" pubs for a good while yet.

The changing of the 2 to 1 metre rule will be critical for most pubs, coffee shops too.

Did you know that there are people who want the pubs to stay shut?

I don't believe that. I think someone made that story up to start an argument.
    But you never know!!

Stonegate pubs are hoping to reopen in Wales on the 15th July with all the safety measures in place.

I don't see why all the pubs don't put themselves up for sale and advertise themselves for open viewings but anyone wanting to come in must buy a pint whilst viewing.

What will the toilet situation be? Will there be a shithouse sheriff on the door ensuring one in, going in, thoroughly cleaning after the one and then letting the next one in? Will there be a seat cleaner, particularly in the ladies? Will it be waiter service, there’ll be no jostling at the bar for the punters? With the extra staff required and fewer customers allowed in can we expect £6/£7 a pint to cover the increased outgoings? Or will they try and maintain previous prices to encourage us in? There will still be a lot who’ll need convincing that it’s safe, lots of hurdles to overcome.

I think if building sites can manage, pubs will be alright.

Not selling beer on sites now, not like like Germany in ‘79 when there was a beer polier and beer caravan on site. So I reckon pubs are a different situation completely to building sites.

When I worked on building sites in Germany (77 to 79) were supplied shedloads of schnapps and beer to drink during the day - by the people whose houses we were building!

While over there I was building an extension on Saturdays for one of the machine drivers from our site. One morning the woman from next door was coming up the ladder with a tray of Bacardi & coke, dear God those Germans liked a bevvy.
