EFL seem to be dragging their feet. I think the big showdown meeting is early next week. They are arguing over promotion/relegation/play offs from League One and below.

But like the reveal for planned start date for the Championship they might just release the fixtures at anytime, or scrap the idea altogether. The only thing predictable thing about them is that they are unpredictable.

I thought I heard that the Merseyside Derby was going to shown on BBC?

Are the majority of people in the UK still on lockdown? I'm surprised the midweek games are scheduled for "after work".

While we still have a lockdown of sorts (although it’s very loose now), lots of us are still going to our places of work, while a large percentage of people are working from home. Makes sense to play all of the games outside standard working hours.

We start in two weeks v Leeds at home. TV scheduled not confirmed yet so we don’t know exact time. Followed by an away game the following weekend as the fixtures are set to continue as per previous order (I believe) with two games a week until completion in mid July. Then play offs the following week and a final in early August.

There a fuller explanation in the EFL thread

Apparently you will have the option of dubbed crowd noise for the games on Sky and BT

Also, why aren't there games on every day?

Thanks Mike. Will I be able to watch the game on NOW TV using the one-day-pass thingy?

If it’s announced as a main live Sky game you’ll be able to get a 9.99 Now TV day pass as previously I would have thought. If you are a season ticket holder all games look set to be free via I follow online and if you are not a ST holder you can purchase individual games for a tenner - exact details to be confirmed.

Answering my own point the Leverkusen v Bayern Munich game on BT today had crowd noise. I thought it made a big difference for the better.

A late-night political talk show host over here uses canned laughter. He's very honest about it, he presents the show from his house and they cut to vintage clips of audiences laughing during his monologue. It's much better than slience.

I'm not a season ticket holder any more but I have some Flex-tickets left. Maybe I could use these up this way?
