We've managed 5 successive league wins in the same season on 21 occasions. The promotion season of 1946/47 is absolutely remarkable - our winning runs that season were 3,5,9,5,1,1,6!

In nearly all of those seasons we either won promotion or were in a battle for promotion or playoffs.

Can Harris join the club? It would be a fantastic achievement if he does.

Yes. There are few derby matches there. Would I be right in assuming a game against Bristol City in the 1930s wouldn't have had the rivalry it currently does?

Well I wasn't there personally but I know in the 50's my father wasn't greatly enamored of them. Nor was he of Aston Villa for that matter.

    I love these Statto threads.
    Well done EthB

So next week might be only the seventh time we've won 6 on the bounce ever after we push aside the Jacks. Amazing😉

My father started watching Cardiff before the war (just) and certainly he sees Bristol as our rivals, not Swansea.

Warnock managed a 5, 4 and an 8 in 17/18 (the 8 coming after a dreadful run of form at Christmas)

Warnock also managed a run of 4 successive defeats during that run, only matched, since 2002, by Trollope, Jones and Lawrence (strangely, the 4 game losing streak under Leonard was in out first season back, not the relegation battle season)

In other words, it happens more often than you'd think, and tends to happen (surprise, surprise) in promotion years. Lets hope we break the record this season, but I'm not getting too excited just yet!
