    Kids say the funniest things!

The song by the sandpipers Guantanamera was on the telly and my 12 year old said ‘oh, it’s the fat Spanish waiter song’! Remembering when we played Newcastle a couple of years ago. He didn’t know it was ‘a proper song’

My grandmother use to say "Don't pick your nose, have a biscuit".

Our daughter cooked 'Grandpa's Special BBQ Chicken' for the kids - without the chicken. Meat analogue (ie not digital, but still rich in protein) was used instead.

The ensuing conversation at the table went like this:

    7-y-old K: "What's this?"
Dau: "It's 'Grandpa's Special BBQ Chicken' recipe"
K: "Yes, but what species is it?"

I have to confess that I hadn't previously come across the term 'meat analogue'. It's a curious term when there's no meat in it.
A bit like the 'Technical Area' in football perhaps.....

Cute kid. Reminds me of my daughter when she was her age. Quite a character!
