Interesting opinions in this thread, many of us are old enough to remember the anti nazi league during the 70s and early 80's, a period that saw the rise of the far right politically in the national front. The ANL, as with most anti fascist groups had deep roots within the socialist workers party and the communist party, as well as plenty of others who weren't politically motivated but just hated fascism-i would bet that the ANL were much more political than BLM and certainly more organized. I'm guessing that the people who don't like the BLM movement felt the same way about the ANL?
The keep quiet is from someone who disagrees with something but understands others do
If the queen drives through town I think its bollocks but plenty of people support the royalty so I either stay in my house or walk past the Royal car and go about my day . I don't boo , I don't make offensive views known
Its respecting others and stopping me from getting my head kicked in
If someone doesn't agree with the knee then they have two options , boo and face a possible kicking or do what most people who are not racist would do ......accept that the protest is going on and say nothing
If of course someone is proud to be a racist then boo away but if they are not careful they could end up in a confrontation
I would avoid that myself
So essentially you are deducing that’s I am potentially a racist because I am uncomfortable with BLM as the prominent vehicle for change.
That is really unfair in my opinion.
I posted a video the other day with Trevor Phillips and Andrew Neil discussing BLM.
They must be racist as well.
😔

Again, players taking a knee has nothing to do with BLM.
Both teams held up a banner at the start that said 'Equality - United For Change'
On the whistle the QPR team took the knee and the Millwall players stood around looking awkward - not as a group, but scattered all over their side of the pitch.
When QPR scored they took the knee again as part of their goal celebration.
QPR deserve a great deal of respect - especially as the squad pushed for a change in club policy so that they could make that very public statement (even if it is 'just' a gesture).
I was watching the Football on Quest and they were effectively saying well done Millwall but to me the clubs actions were appalling and they were effectively trying to appease the racists amongst their fan base and avoid further criticism. The Chairman, who was singled out for praise, should be ashamed of their solution.
