Shocking stuff from the cardiff police there. They were no angels (the original five) for sure but the Docks was full of lively types like this, probably still is.
Hope they do make it into a series, it ticks all the boxes.

No angels granted but not savage murderers.
I know of one of the coppers involved and was named. As sludge, said, retired on a very tidy pension. Kent of a bloke as well.

    Re: ‘The Ripper’

Watched all of this last night.

The police handling of this is shocking.

The obsession of him being a geordie from the wearside jack tapes is behond belief.

The policeman who interviewed Sutcliffe years before his arrest and reported his suspicion but was yelled at by a superior as he didnt have a geordie accent.

The fact that they didnt make the public aware there had been attacks before the 1st murder but they werent prostitutes so didnt fit the profile they made and they said the attacker had a Yorkshire accent so were ignored.

They even had a near perfect description of him years earlier.

    Interviewed 9 times !!!!! I mean WTF!!

Watching the smug tw@ts when he was caught with a bit of luck was sickening.

The useless tw@ts didnt even catch Wearside Jack until about 2005.

Its amazing how so many useless tw@ts work themselves to the top in such powerful positions. Even half decent people at the top of the Yorkshire police would have saved lives.

Shame on the paper that paid that chief for his story as well
