My hope and expectation of McCarthy is that he stops the rot and builds confidence.

If we end up mid table or better and he gets the players to play individually as well as we believe they can then he will have done a good job. Fans will buy season tickets and there will be an optimism again that the manager next season can do better.

Let’s see if he can make Murphy a better player and get the others going again.
